Jim Corbett National Park, located in the Nainital and Almora districts of the small and beautiful Indian state of Uttarakhand, covers an area of 1,288 square kilometers. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including birds, plants, and many rare species.

Jim Corbett National Park is managed by the Uttarakhand Forest Department, with its local office in Ramnagar. Two types of jungle safaris operate daily: jeep safaris (solo) and canter safaris (shared). Of the park's total area of 126 square kilometers, 600 square kilometers are open to tourists. These are divided into six zones: Dikla, Bijrani, Jirana, Dhela, Durgadevi, and Ringuda.

Each zone requires a separate permit and must be booked online in advance. Six zones are designated for jeep safaris, and one zone for canter safaris. The Bengal Tiger is its main attraction, drawing many tourists from India and abroad to see this beloved animal. Experienced drivers and guides are essential for wildlife viewing. Corbett National Park is open from October 15th to June 30th.

It is not recommended to book jungle safaris through travel agencies, but rather through local vehicle owners, as they know the best opportunities to spot tigers and other rare animals in different parts of Corbett National Park. On the other hand, travel agencies located in air-conditioned cities often lack experience and knowledge of the local area.
